Found: Best Healthy Brunch Spots In London
At aevi, there are not many things we look forward to more than our healthy weekend brunches. Read on for our London based favourites...
At the top of our list is Farmacy located on Westbourne Grove with a vibe to match the green vines growing up the walls. This microcosmic, almost vegan and entirely organic restaurant makes their own nut milks and has a complete sprout calendar in place. This place is a rare find for wherever you are in the world, just doors down from Plant Organic and two streets away from Heartcore, this is potentially your whole day of Saturday dedicated to goodness.
Must try’s: The Macro bowl is made with seaweed, sweet potato mash, quinoa, a whole array of greens and a miso dressing. (gluten free, vegan + nut free)
For something a little more decadent: The pancakes! Ask to add a scoop of coconut ice-cream on top, maybe a cookie on the side! (gf, v + nf)
One of our main go-to's, Granger & Co hosts an appetising array of healthy Australian fare that conjures up sunny images of Bondi with every bite. A deliciously nourishing menu featuring lots of colourful and creative dishes to choose from, you’ll leave feeling sweetly satisfied and eager to return the following weekend to taste test their other options.
Must try’s: The infamous Courgette Fritters or Fresh Aussie - tea smoked salmon, poached eggs, greens, avocado & cherry tomatoes on sourdough. (df, gf option also available)
One of our favourite healthy eateries in Shoreditch, Andina resides in a cosy enclave on the corner of Redchurch and Shoreditch High Street’s. With an emphasis on some of our favourite superfoods such as chia, maca, amaranth and quinoa that feature liberally in many of the dishes on offer – the menu is full of hearty and nourishing contemporary twists on Peruvian classics. Well worth the trip to Shoreditch.
Must try’s: Granola Andina with quinoa, amaranth, pumpkin seeds, rolled oats, coconut, almonds, cinnamon, goldenberry honey, maca root and seasonal fruits. (gf + df)
Valuing fresh, nutritional ingredients, situated in the heart of Notting Hill, Farm Girl is the perfect place for a casual brunch with friends or even just a darling cup of coffee. Equally as healthy as it is delicious, there really is something for everyone at Farm Girl. Founders Rose and Anthony grew up respectively in Australia and the the Swiss Alps, the pair have a penchant for the great outdoors and simple country living, a defining aspect of the wholefoods, fresh produce featured in every dish on the menu.
Must try’s: The Acai bowl made with organic frozen Amazonian berries, banana and almond milk topped with coconut shavings and chia seeds. We also recommend a rose (coffee) or matcha latte with coconut milk, it's just too beautiful not to try. (gf + vegan)
Nestled away in the picturesque streets of leafy Stoke Newington, Esters is a neighbourhood café serving the best brunch and coffee in North East London. Boasting one of the best home made almond lattes we’ve ever tasted, all food at Esters is cooked from scratch with the finest organic and seasonal ingredients. Keep in mind this is real, honest food but not very allergy friendly.
Must try’s: Bircher Muesli with house made yoghurt, pear and blackberry compote and hazelnuts.
One of our all time favourite healthy and comfort havens in London, Daylesford Organic’s brunch does not disappoint. Featuring fresh and local produce from their sustainable, organic farms in Staffordshire and the Cotswolds, we love their real food philosophy that favours whole foods over all else. With a menu including organic dairy, meat and veggies, Daylesford grows, farms, produces and sells food according to the highest sustainable principles and in harmony with the nature and the environment.
Must try’s: Avocado on toast, a soft poached hen's egg, sprouts and shoots. With sourdough, rye and gluten free options, it makes for a comforting, good for all, brunch spot. (gf + df)
